Denmark Digestive Health offers timely access to office consultations for an in-depth discussion of GI symptoms and conditions with Dr. Denmark without intermediaries. Dr. Denmark will discuss your situation with you in order to develop the most appropriate and efficient treatment plan, and she will follow through on the execution of a treatment plan. Particular emphasis will be placed on your lifestyle and diet, and appropriate support services will be offered. You will be hearing about your test results directly from Dr. Denmark. There will be timely follow-up appointments to expedite decision-making. Dr. Denmark will be able to facilitate the necessary testing, some of which may be done in her office. Dr. Denmark will be available to answer any urgent calls after hours. Dr. Denmark has privileges at Newton Wellesley Hospital, where she performs most of the necessary procedures, such as colonoscopies, sigmoidoscopies, and upper endoscopies. She also has privileges at Boston Endoscopy Center in Wellesley, MA, where some of these procedures may be performed.

Board certified in gastroenterology, Denmark Digestive Health owner Dr. Vera Denmark brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to patients in the Weston, MA area. She received her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine before completing a residency in internal medicine at Boston Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Dr. Denmark then joined the faculty at Mount Sinai, where she was the teaching attending on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) inpatient service and conducted laboratory research in IBD under the mentorship of Dr. Lloyd Mayer. In 2013, Dr. Denmark joined the faculty at Newton-Wellesley Hospital as the first medical director of inflammatory bowel disease research. She specializes in a variety of gastrointestinal conditions with a special interest in IBD and irritable bowel syndrome and the overlap between the two conditions. Dr. Denmark is a member of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.
